Forage

We strive to keep up with the forage products that are available, to find those that will perform best for the areas we sell into.  We keep on hand millets, sorghum/sudan, forage sorghum, other grasses, cereals, and many brassicas and other species as well.  If for some reason we don’t have what you are looking for, we can likely locate it for you.

Mixes have consistently shown to have better drought tolerance and usually a better feed value than planting one species only.  This has been observed on farm after farm.  We can easily blend a three or four species mix or more that will be good for haying and or grazing.

This picture was brought in by one of our producers from the summer of 2011.  In the lower left is a 6 species mix seeded into a 10 year no-till field, in the upper right is a neighbors conventional tilled sumac.
